My thought about the ending
After finishing this novel, "Fahrenheit 451" written by Ray Bradbury, I felt this emptiness left in me again, and I liked it. The ending of this novel was so nihil and tragic. It was another one of the examples implying that being a coward and not taking any chance will result in your loss. Mainly, the reason why Faber didn't run away from the city with Montag has resulted in him getting killed by the flames of the bomb that destroyed the city after Montag has ran away from it.
The ending was very ironic. Captain Beatty was always trying to convince Montag and other people seeking for knowledge that fire is a good thing, because it cleans and gets rid of things that are dirty and bad. But, super ironically, it was the fire from the explosion that completely destroyed the city. Maybe Ray Bradbury was trying to imply that the city and the society were the dirty, wrong, and corrupted ones.
Ray Bradbury is my personally favorite author of all time; he is so good at hiding important meanings into his pieces of work. It was a pleasure reading this novel. I wish luck for Montag.
