Recently, I have finished reading this great masterpiece titled "Fahrenheit 451" written by Ray Bradbury. The main characters that are actually important in this novel are Guy Montag, Captain Beatty, Clarisse McClellan, and Professor Faber. Guy Montag is the most important main character in this novel. Most of the time, I liked him because he is the one who started to learn the facts and bravely fight against it, but sometimes disliked him because he was acting without thinking once in a while. He is special because, once again, he started to learn the facts and bravely fight against it. Captain Beatty, you could say, is the antagonist of this novel. He is the boss of the fire station Guy works in, but he is against Guy's beliefs. he is special because in the novel, he sounds as if he used to read a lot but realized that reading is useless. In my opinion, Beatty is the smartest character because he beats Guy at arguing about the effects reading cause. I like him because he gave me the feeling that he was the 'Darth-vader' or the 'bad' guy that is better than the protagonist. Clarisse is the key character of this novel. She is the character that changes Guy the most. She used to be Guy's neighbor, and tells Guy about all these weird things that Guy thinks she's crazy, but Guy realizes Clarisse was different because she read books. She gets killed, and causes Guy to start reading. I like her because the things she talks about was very beautiful and influenced me to think more deeply. Professor Faber is the guy who helps Guy to hide books, read secretly, explain things in the books and run away from the firemen. I don't like him because in the end, he becomes a coward and decides to not run away with Guy. He finally gets killed in the explosion in the city. All these characters each represent the people with different jobs and characteristics in our society.
